Srivari Puspha Kainkaryam – Tirumala Tirupati

There is no place in the Universe as sacred as Venkatadri. No God is equal to lord Venkateswara either in the past or in the future.

The great savant Tirumala Nambi performed flower service to the Lord of seven Hills a thousand years ago and attained salvation. Ananthalvar, another supreme devotee of the Lord dug the alwar tank to provide water to the flower gardens, he lovingly nurtured. In later years, several devotees, kings, royal chieftains and others cultivated flower gardens at Tirumala and offered their unremitting service to the Lord. The TTD inscriptions clearly mention the existence of hundreds of such flower gardens at Tirumala in the past. Large quantities of flowers are required for the decoration of the deities daily. More flowers are needed during Thomala seva, Unjal seva, Pulangi seva and on festival occasions like srivari Brahmotsavam, Padmavathi Parinayam, Pavitrotsavam, Pushpayagam etc. with a view to give an opportunity to the devotees to do flower service to the Lord, the Devasthanams has introduced the following schemes.

Under this scheme, a devotee can donate any amount, from Rs. One thousand to Rs. One lakh and send the same by Demand Draft to the Executive Officer, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati. The amount will be utilized for the decoration of the Lord with flowers.

Under this scheme, owners of flower gardens may send flowers from their native places through APSRTC buses free of cost. The Garden office will receive these flowers and utilize them for temple worship. Nursery owners can also offer hybrid varieties of seedlings, which will be planted in the Devasthanams gardens. Offer flowers to lord Srinivasa and the recipient of his Blessings!!
